Dr. Ellen Huang is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and a Registered Acupuncturist. Dr. Huang is a registered active member of The College of Acupuncturists of Alberta. She has been practicing Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Calgary since 2006. Dr. Huang received her Manual Osteopathic Therapy Diploma in 2022 and is an active member of the Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association. Dr. Huang passionately integrates her knowledge and skills of TCM and Osteopathic medicine to care for her clients physically and mentally. Dr. Huang specializes in female, male and pediatric health, mental health care, pre and postnatal care, and pre and post surgical care.

 

Dr. Huang treats a multitude of patients with varying diseases, severity, and urgency, pain management, gynecology and pediatric care and are the strong fields of Dr. Huang’s practice. Dr. Huang integrates Acupuncture, herbal formula, and Osteopathic Therapy together to better serve her clients’ interests. High referral rates speak the effectiveness of the integrative approach Dr. Huang implements in her practice. Dr. Huang’s clients range from young adults to seniors. Dr. Huang's care is appreciated by patients who suffer from migraines, headaches, whiplash, neck pain, lower back pain, hip pain, shoulder, arm, wrist, knee injuries, ankle injuries, stress, and idiopathic discomfort, pre/postnatal care and pre/post surgical care are greatly recommended by her clients and colleagues.

 

Dr. Huang earned her Diploma of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2006 from the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Following that, she received her Certificate of Clinical Practice in Chinese Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from the World Health Organization Acupuncture Training Center in Beijing, China. In 2006, Dr. Huang obtained a Certificate of Clinical Acupuncture and Massage Therapy from the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology. Dr. Huang gained her internship experiences from the five leading research hospitals in Beijing, which includes Beijing Dong Zhi Men Hospital, Beijing Military District General Hospital, Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital, Beijing Yang Jing Hospital and the Beijing Research Institute of Science and Technology.

 

Dr. Huang continues teaching at TCM and Acupuncture institutes along with her clinical practice. She teaches TCM Gynecology and Pediatrics Medicine at the Calgary College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2011. Prior to her career with the CCTCMA, Dr. Huang is an instructor at The Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, teaching TCM internal medicine and Tui Na techniques (TCM soft tissue manual treatment). Dr. Huang currently practices at Advanced Primary Care as a Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor. She enjoys the multispecialty integrated team based care model, client centered, high quality and compassionate clinic model. With her professional experience and therapeutic techniques, Dr. Huang ensures each treatment she provides fulfills her patients with positive and refreshed energy. It is important to Dr. Huang that patients can trust and approach her with any questions, concerns, or comments to establish a strong patient relationship.
